ISEQ Investment Market

The ISEQ Overall Index and its series of sub-indices are the official price indices of the Irish Stock Exchange. A long-established trading platform, the history of the ISE goes back to 1793 when it first opened for trading in Dublin.

Most Irish public limited companies have their primary listing on the Exchange, however it is not compulsory for them to do so. Some companies based outside of the state, such as Tesco and UTV also trade on the ISEQ investment market for the convenience of their shareholders.

In addition to company shares, the ISEQ Index also trades in a number of other equities, and Irish government bonds.
